1. When do you feel at your most attractive?

When I am wearing something hot that makes me feel confident and my boyfriend is looking at me with... those eyes.

3. What are some things you admire about how other women present themselves?

I admire confidence, which is what you really need to sell any look/outfit. You can tell who feels comfortable with themselves and who doesn't.

4. Was there a moment in your life when something “clicked” for you about fashion or dressing or make-up or hair? What? Why did it happen then, do you think?

Yes, at some point in middle school. I think it was then I realized I felt so awkward because I wasn't dressing "correctly." At this point in time, I was old enough to learn by myself what "went" and what didn't, which I think I couldn't do before then.

9. Are there any clothing (or related) items that you have in multiple? Why do you think you keep buying this thing?

I basically collect scarves. I like the feeling of having something covering my neck, and scarves are a fun way to accomplish that. They're also relatively small and cheap, and can easily be bright and have fun patterns, while other clothing items can't necessarily.

19. What are you wearing on your body and face, and how is your hair done, right at this moment?

I'm wearing black thermal leggings, socks, and gray boot-style slippers. I'm wearing an old T-shirt from my dance studio and my hair is in a messy bun. I don't have any makeup on.

20. In what way is this stuff important, if at all?

These leggings are my main bottoms at the moments since I'm taking both yoga and dance on different days. My T-shirt is special to me because it' from my old dance studio, where I danced for over 10 years. I never wear makeup (except for a costume). I spend enough time designing outfits that I feel like I don't need to spend even more on makeup. Also, I've observed how once a girl gets into the habit of wearing makeup, she (and the people around her) begins to think she looks wrong without it. I don't want that pressure for myself.

24. Do you remember the biggest waste of money you ever made on an item of clothing?

I paid for maybe half of a $90 dress when I was younger. It was a white semi-fancy summer dress with pretty flower embroidery on the bottom. It just wasn't comfortable/movable enough for me to want to wear around all the time. Also, white is never a good color for things.

25. Are there any dressing tricks you’ve invented or learned that make you feel like you’re getting away with something?

When I wear a sweatshirt, I don't have to wear a bra, which is very satisfying.

30. What sorts of things do you do, clothing or make-up or hair- wise, to feel sexy or alluring?

clothing - I wear tight pants that make my butt look good and sometimes I'll also purposely wear a low-cut shirt, but I have to have the right bra so that I feel confident in my boobs.

hair - down, extreme side part, natural curls

31. Many people say they want to feel “comfortable,” or that they admire people who seem “confident.” What do these words really mean to you?

Comfortable: Not having to worry about feeling exposed/that things aren't looking or working right. When I'm comfortable, I can then be confident.

Confident: Walk with pride. Don't recede in on themselves, instead they project outwards. Always looking up, being present in the world, not taking anyone's BS.

36. When you look at yourself before going out, and you are trying to see yourself from the outside, can you describe a bit about what this “other person” is like? What do they like, dislike, what sorts of judgments do they have? Is this “outer eye” based on someone you know or once knew?

This "other person" has a much more mainstream sense of style than me. If my outfit has something too outside the box, the other person immediately gets critical. However, they appreciate interesting things. If my outfit is too boring, it always needs something "else." I don't think they are based on any one person, but on my observations about other people's styles.

38. What are you trying to achieve when you dress?

I want to feel good about myself when I walk out the door. This includes multiple factors:

1. I don't want to look like a slob, because then I'll feel like one. So my outfit has to have some effort behind it.
2. Confidence is important, so my outfit has to have the right balance of covering and revealing.
3. There has to be something cool/interesting/unique about my outfit, since it gives me a sense of pride to have come up with that uniqueness.

50. Do you ever wish you were a man or could dress like a man or had a man’s body? Was there ever a time in the past?

I've never wanted to dress like a man, since their wardrobes are boring as shit.
However, there are many times I've wanted a man's body. Why? Easy: periods.

51. If there was one country or culture or era that you had to live in, fashion-wise, what would it be?

I'd want to live in the Regency era (think Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice, etc.), just because I know so much about it. You get the beauty and classical feel of the Victorian era without as much restriction.

52. Do you consider yourself photogenic?

No, my complexion is way too pink and my forehead shines under light.

57. If you were totally comfortable with your body, or your body was a bit closer to what you wish it was like, what would you wear?

bikinis

66. Tell us about something in your closet that you keep but never wear. What is it, why don’t you wear it, and why do you keep it?

I have several old T-shirts from band or dance events that aren't actually cool/stylish, but they still have a lot of meaning for me, so I won't get rid of them until they don't fit or are worn out.

What’s your birth date?
Where were you born and where do you live now?

I'm almost 18 and live in Washington State.

What kind of work do you do?

I'm a college student.

Are you single, married, do you have kids, etc.?

I'm in a committed relationship but not yet married.
