63. Is there a certain look you feel you’re expected to like that you have absolutely no interest in? What is it? Why aren’t you interested?

The hippy look.
I like it on others, but it's not me. I share some thoughts and ideas and ways of life but it's not a look that I could (or would want) to completely adopt. I'm too jaded and cynical! I would feel like a fake.

im not expected to like anything

I feel like I'm definitely suppose to embrace the retro high waisted anything with a crop top look, but to me it just looks kind of silly and I don't think it's going to age well- I don't want to have serious wardrobe regrets when I look through high school photos.

The school girl look. I am short and people have trouble telling how old I am. I don’t want to be mistaken for a young girl. I want to get old and older.

Casual at the cottage.
Woodsy.
Oh come on.

I don’t feel I’m “expected” to like any particular look, and if there is a look I want to go for, then I would just try it and if it didn’t work for me, I would let it go. I suppose there are looks that society expects women of a certain age to embrace but I wear what I like, and I’m sure that some of it could be considered “age inappropriate” by some people.

The current midriff-baring trend is one that only works for about .001% of the female population. Also, high-waisted bottoms are just not comfortable. The 50s full skirts are very pretty, but not for me—too girly—unless it was for evening, like a great Dior cocktail dress.
