63. Is there a certain look you feel you’re expected to like that you have absolutely no interest in? What is it? Why aren’t you interested?
Casual at the cottage.
Oh come on.
I don’t feel I’m “expected” to like any particular look, and if there is a look I want to go for, then I would just try it and if it didn’t work for me, I would let it go. I suppose there are looks that society expects women of a certain age to embrace but I wear what I like, and I’m sure that some of it could be considered “age inappropriate” by some people.
The current midriff-baring trend is one that only works for about .001% of the female population. Also, high-waisted bottoms are just not comfortable. The 50s full skirts are very pretty, but not for me—too girly—unless it was for evening, like a great Dior cocktail dress.
the aquazzura gladiator sandal. as a shoe it is awesome but i dont really like it when being worn, i wouldnt buy one
Most of what gets shown on fashion runways - it's usually made for impossible bodies
Maybe the whole jeans phenomenon, especially the ones with the horrible white embroidery on the backside or any sort of "street-friendly" embellishment, or the idea of looking tough. or the angel wings on the back of the jacket or the front of a t-shirt, shirts that "declare" something loudly, with a lot of words on it, I can't really pull any of that stuff off. I think I am best in the french stripes or the sort of lazy pieces that would make you want to land on a couch and read a book.
