What’s your birth date?
Where were you born and where do you live now?

09/18/66. Born in London, now live in Manhattan.

Say anything you like about your cultural/ethnic/economic background.

Went to an all girls school so wore a school uniform until 18 - only getting to choose my clothes at the weekend. As a triplet too, wanting to stand out/not look the same as my sisters was a huge priority during my youth.

What kind of work do you do?

Advertising. We have to look smart but current.

Are you single, married, do you have kids, etc.?

Single, no kids.

Please say anything you like about yourself that might put this survey into some sort of context.

Living in Manhattan puts pressure on women to "look good". We can't get away with jeans/tshirts every day like the guys can.

How do you feel after filling out this survey?

It's made me think about my attitude to clothes in-depth for the first time in years.

Bio

Being a triplet I hate ever turning up somewhere and seeing someone dressed like me - I'm super sensitive to this as hated wearing the same clothes as my sisters growing up. We'd have arguments every weekend about who was going to wear what. Picking back-to-school shoes was a competition - who would find/nab the cutest shoes as we would never buy the same ones if we all liked the same styles.
