39. What, for you, is the difference between dressing and dressing up?
Dressing is just covering your nakedness.
Dresing up is making a statement. Or just trying to be someone you are not.
If anything, my make up is more visible when I "dress-up", more red lipstick, more cleavage, higher heels.
For me, there is not much difference. I’m almost always overdressed. I like to dress up on a daily basis; however, for a formal event or occasion, I will dress up even more. I’ll wear more expensive jewelry and heels and maybe even a little makeup; I'll pay extra attention to my hair, and use a fancier purse.
Dressing can be sweats or pjs, dressing up requires attention and intention. I dress every day, but don't dress up every day.
Dressing is for every day. Dressing up is just heightening the every day. I don't really have any items that I will only wear to "dress up" - it's more the way I style them and use makeup.
Dressing is casual, jeans and maybe a nice shirt. Dressing up is basically getting dolled up in a dress and heels.
Dressing up is taking extra time and care. Wearing things you wouldn't wear every day. Styling your hair and
Really caring about what I wear and how I'm perceived OR how I want to feel. Somtimes it's just a gold sparkly shoes day just to lift spirits.
dressing up is more makeup and more time, less consideration of comfort; dressing up is more of an event in itself
dressing is jeans and hoodie/flip-flops and skirt... dressing up is a dress/skirt and flats. a blouse maybe.
