45. How do you conform to or rebel against the dress expectations at your workplace?
Workplace is pretty casual but I like to dress more professionally than my colleagues.
I adapt my style to the occasion but adding a personal touch to it.
I usually wear whatever I want to work unless uniform is required. I will wear what is appropriate for my work setting
I have these sports socks with Obama's face on them that only cover my feet so I wear them with my sneakers on the way to work in the summer. Wearing socks with Obama's face on them isn't that big of a deal where I work since we are all left wing in my office. It's fun to surprise my coworkers with these socks.
Aside from that I am pretty much a rule follower for our work place dress code.
I am a contractor and work from home. But sometimes I am at a co-working space, with a lot of people who look as though they are wearing like, expensive indie-designer looks, with everything clean and new and expensive. I try to understate my clothes- simple palette, simple cuts, nice fabrics to fly under the radar. Also I try to stop caring because I don't necessarily agree with that style.
I'm much more fun!
I’m always simultaneously conforming and rebelling. I’m conforming in the sense that we are allowed to wear casual clothing, but I’m rebelling in the sense that my idea of casual clothing is a dress or a skirt.
My work place is reasonably free though I think I’m meant to iron a bit more than I do.
I do not work.
Sometimes I wear navy instead of black... wild.
I never iron my uniform, they' re lucky to have me, I wear sketchers plimsolls
I don't have a workplace.
Haha! I wore red nail polish!
Dress better than other people there (but not overtly).
