11. Is there any fashion trend you’ve refused to participate in and why?

I would never wear real fur.

7” heels
bad feet

Deliberately ripped jeans. I kind of like how some of them look, but I think of my dad and how he made sure that our clothes were whole, and I just can't do it. The other piece of that is, of course, the nastiness of industrial distressing, but it's only the most flagrant with hole-y jeans.

No not really, im open towards new trends.

I don't personally support loungewear. I like to feel good about myself and to do so I need a belt and a bra.

Yes - I am not buying into the latest trainer brand - I know they will not last. I stick to leather shoes that don't go out of fashion or wear out within a couple of months.

I feel like there has been so many. I have a bitter taste in my mouth for fashion trends because I feel like they are chosen by someone and that person is a human being just like me, why do they decide what is beautiful and "in" and what isn't? However, there have been fashion trends that I have worn and simply because I found beauty in them. I think the most recent fashion trend I have refused to follow are graphic tees that just say the dumbest things on them. Like cute little sayings that have absolutely no depth to them. Also the sexy underwear trend, Im not on that one either.

Yes. A good number of fashion trends. Crop tops are not really my style.

Statement sleeves and cold shoulders. They're ridiculous and ostentatious and unpractical - all things I'm not.

I don’t think I’ve ever made a conscious decision not to do something. If I want to do it I will. If I don’t, then I won’t.

yes. some trends are to crazy looks and expansive

The 80s trend. Because I've already been through it once, with regret.

The all white outfits. I’ll probably conform eventually but it’s too bold I think. But, i’ve already bought white pants (gap girlfriend) so it’s maybe only a matter of time. I don’t think so though

I don't like maxi dresses/ skirts because they make my legs look even shorter than they are.

All of them really, because I'm just not interested. Aside from the very popular trend of not being naked.

Skinny jeans. It doesn't look good on me. One of my legs is slightly longer than the other and as a result I have a bit of a silly walk. It shows much more when I wear skinny jeans. And have you ever seen Katharine Hepburn or Indiana Jones in skinny jeans?

crop tops- my body isn't for them. I have tummy fat and an uneven skin tone- these aren't flattering.

I won't put fishnets under my high-waisted torn jeans because I think that's too last-year.

Yes it happened to me. In one of the Christmas day I refuse to go to mall to see new fashion.

DISCO! DRESS SUITS! SWEAT PANTS! ILL-FITTING CLOTHES! ANYTHING THAT APPEARS IN VOGUE magazine! I'm fine being a free spirit & have a strong disdain for wearing what is advertised as "the latest fashion ". I don't care what other people wear. I insist on wearing my hippie style. The only exception was during the time that I was a practicing RN wear I wore funky scrubs. I WILL NOT WEAR ANYTHING BROWN OR ORANGE!!

The clothes that have holes in them

Really revealing tops/dresses. I don't refuse to wear them, I just haven't had any reason to wear something like that yet.

right now, it's the wide leg culotte. growing up, in my first sewing class, i had this book of basic projects, one of which were these hideous culottes. i never made them, but i looked at them in horror. in general i strongly dislike the crop pants trend- i'm tall and it just looks ridiculous on me. i also keep seeing patterns for cold-shoulder tops and think, who wears this, and them and shocked to actually see people wear them.

I was never a fan of uggs when they were a big thing (I've never enjoyed boots in general actually - I think the last pair I had was when I was still at primary school haha)... I also never got on board with the bomber jackets last season, mostly because I didn't think they'd suit me and felt like they were pretty expensive for something that might go out of fashion soon...

When I was a kid, I had a swim teacher whose feet had formed into Barbie foot shapes - the toes at a permanent angle to the arch. Scared the crap out of me.

crop tops with slogan or words like 'geek' or 'nerd', or any item of clothing with these kinds of embellishment. i don't think they look good on most people and they make me feel like a 11 year old girl.

Basically, I refuse to participate in any fashion trend.

Many. I don't want to buy any item that will later look like "I was very fasnionable. About three years ago".

Ruffles. I used to be a lot larger than I am now but even so I am not a dainty person. I think ruffles make people, particularly those a little bit heavier, look frumpy.

Culottes.. with my ass??? No thanks.

Bleurgh. So many. those drop crotch pants, gross. Torn tight jeans. looking like a hobo on purpose. anything with logos. wearing gym clothes to live in.

I don't want to live like other people, I don't want to look like other people.
