48. Do you find it comforting or constraining to have a uniform?

If it is a uniform set my someone else - constraining. If it is set me be - comforting and freeing, in the sense that I'm freed from having to worry about what I'm going to wear.

It definitely made getting dressed in the morning a lot quicker. Things became harder when I entered sixth form and had to make my own choices.

For me it feels safe.

Comforting to have a definitive, distinct dress code, constraining (or uncomfortable, at the very least) to have an unspoken dress code.

Neither. I guess it doesn’t really make much of a difference to me.

Yes I was completely comfortable.

I liked wearing hospital scrubs, but in schools that have dress codes, I hated it.

If we don't get a uniform from our bosses, we tend to create one for ourselves

comforting mostly, but sometimes infuriating
